City Center Market Mankato (Mankato Open Air Market) invites you to participate in the first season of Mankato’s only urban outdoor market. The City Center Market Mankato is held every Saturday and Sunday throughout the summer at 209 Riverfront Drive the site of the former Embers restaurant.
We are looking for vendors of collectibles, antiques, art, and ethnic imports to offer an eclectic mix of products with a focus on unique, one-of-a-kind and hand-made items. Patterned after other successful outdoor markets in New York City, Toronto and San Francisco, Mankato’s City Center Market is the most exciting retail venue in Mankato.
The City Center Market Mankato is an easy and affordable way to sell your products to a broad range of customers in a fun and festive atmosphere. Extensive publicity of the market is taken care of by City Center Market Mankato, so all you need to do is sign up!
Centrally located in the Mankato City Center, the market is held:
Every Saturday and Sunday beginning in July 2010 and continuing through October 31.
Hours are:
Saturdays 10:00am to 4:00 pm
Sundays 11:00am to 4:00pm.
Vendors can choose specific dates (as long as space is available on those dates).
Entry fees are as follows: First weekend: $25.00 for Sat. and $10.00 for Sunday.
Second weekend: $25.00 for Sat. and $5.00 for Sunday
Third weekend: $25.00 for Sat. and $5.00 for Sunday
Fourth weekend: $25.00 for Sat. and NO fee for Sunday
*Vendors do not need to attend consecutive weekends to get the lowered fee for Sunday.
If only attending one day in a weekend, the cost is $25.00/day
Vendors must supply their own tents with weights to hold them in place.

All applications will be reviewed and the City Center Market Mankato has the right to deny any application that does not meet the requirements.

City of Mankato guidelines for food under the peddler’s licenses:
Food Sales: if the food being served needs to be heated or kept refrigerated, they do not need a peddler’s license but refer them to the Department of Health for possible license (507-344-2700).
Pop or pre-packaged foods (including prepackaged frozen foods) DO need a peddler’s license.
Grown (farmers) produce do NOT need a peddler’s license (they may need licensed by Dept. of Agriculture)
